IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Please see below information hot off the press following Swift’s meeting today with the authorities regarding their 500 Series Ovens.
•All 500 Series ovens and cookers manufactured after the 1st of June 2020 can be connected as normal and sold to customers effective immediately
•Please arrange for the plumbers at your dealerships to connect the gas to the cookers and re-certify the gas plate if disconnection took place.
•This applies to all States and Territories
• If the appliance remained connected with the gas valve off, you may now turn the valve on and begin use of the oven and cooker as normal, as long as the unit was manufactured after the 1st June 2020. The serial number and date of manufacturer can be found on the unit.
We will receive formal notification from swift later today or tomorrow which we will provide when made available.
A recall will be conducted for cookers manufactured prior to this date.
• 500 Series ovens and cookers manufactured prior to 31st of May 2020 cannot be used.
